Supporting Students Mental Health Microcredential is designed for K-12 educators seeking to prioritize mental health support in schools and communities and create environments where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. This certificate is open to anyone in an educational setting, including teachers, counselors  and administrators. By completing this program, participants will gain knowledge and confidence to be proactive teachers and leaders with the ability to identify common mental health concerns in students, recognize warning signs, and implement appropriate strategies to provide emotional support and make necessary referrals when needed.

    The following three (3) courses comprise the Molloy Supporting Students Mental Health Microcredential: 

    • Supporting Students’ Mental Health: Essential Knowledge and Practices for Professionals in the P-12 Setting
    • Trauma-Informed Pedagogy
    • Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Team Approaches to Crisis Prevention and Intervention in the P-12 Setting

     

    Note: Each of the courses in this certificate program carry the course code of EDU 5900 (Topics in Professional Development).
