How to Apply

Interested students should first apply academically via  Common App or on our  website and submit their official high school transcripts. Official SAT/ACT scores may also be submitted, if desired (Molloy University is TEST OPTIONAL). 

2025-2026 AUDITION PROCESS: 
 
1) Molloy/CAP21 requires prescreen video submission, and will follow the Musical Theatre Common Prescreen Guidelines (OPTION A for songs, monologue and dance; ballet and wild card videos optional) which can be viewed here:

2) Prescreen videos should be uploaded to the Molloy/CAP21 Accept'd page (opens September 1st).  

While Molloy University offers rolling academic admissions, we STRONGLY recommend that Musical Theatre BFA students apply academically AND submit their prescreen videos no later than DECEMBER 1st for priority consideration.  

Student applications completed after this date will only be considered for a departmental audition if space is available:

3) Our auditions will be held both IN-PERSON and VIRTUALLY.  Audition slots will be offered on several dates from mid-January through the end of February. 
 
**Upon academic AND artistic prescreen clearance, selected students will receive a link via email to schedule their live departmental audition. All COMPLETE applicants will be notified of their prescreen decision by DECEMBER 15th. Be sure to keep up with your application portal checklist to be sure that all required materials have been received! 

Auditions

Molloy University/CAP21 2025-2026 AUDITIONS 

Upon academic AND prescreen clearance, selected students will receive a link via email on or about DECEMBER 15th to schedule their live departmental audition. Both IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL audition slots will be offered on several dates from mid-January through the end of February. 

In addition to our on-campus Manhattan Center auditions (one date of which will coincide with NY Unifieds specifically reserved for out-of-state students), we will also be auditioning at Pittsburgh Unifieds, Drewnifieds, CAP United, Moonifieds, Colorado Thespians, and Chicago Unifieds. 

All COMPLETE applicants will be notified of their prescreen decision by DECEMBER 15th.
