During the recent Family and Alumni weekend, the following awards were conveyed:
Veritas Medal
Recipient: Teresa A. White, ’84, Esq.
Awarded by the President of Molloy University to those outstanding alumni who have brought honor to their Alma Mater by generously giving their time, energy, finances, and skills to share the Dominican search for truth with their colleagues and the citizens of their communities.
Alumni Service Awards
Recipients: Rachel Brodsky Gritz, ’08, M.B.A. & Dr. Andrea Morgan-Eason, ’96
Recognizes professional distinction, demonstrated service to others, and a strong regard for Molloy University. Recognized for contributions of service and time to the community as someone who truly demonstrates leadership through service.
Barbara Ellen Black Distinguished Alumni Award:
Recipient: Kylie Barza, ’12, J.D.
This award recognizes achievement of an exceptional nature in an alumnus’ field or profession. Recipients have a commitment to, and an investment in, the mission of Molloy University, and take to heart the foundation of a ‘Molloy’ transformative education.
Distinguished Faculty Award
Recipient: Dr. Vicky (Victoria) Giouroukakis
The ideal candidate brings the four pillars of the Molloy Mission into the classroom, has a strong regard for Molloy University and its students, and has a life-long commitment to their field of study.
Recent Alumni Awards
Recipients: Matteo Itri, ’22; Delaney Shank, ’23; Jennifer Hahl, ’20 & ’23, MSN, RN-BC, CMSRN
This award honors a distinguished alumnus of Molloy University who graduated within the past ten years and has demonstrated exceptional professional success or meaningful community impact. In doing so, the recipient exemplifies the transformative power of a Molloy education – embracing its values of leadership, service, and lifelong learning.
In addition to the Awards Ceremony, Molloy hosted a FanFest to support the Sprint Football team, launched the Family Leadership Council, Student Art Exhibit, Carnival, BBQ, mass, and closing brunch.
