The need for FNPs is so great that the number is expected to double by 2030.

The Family Nurse Practitioner program prepares students to manage the healthcare of individuals and families across the lifespan, from birth to the end of life. Students develop competencies in assessment, diagnosis, health promotion, and disease management in various primary care settings.

Completion of the Program enables graduates to be licensed and eligible for national certification (ANCC and AANP) as an FNP and practice in various settings.

At Molloy University, we’re proud to share that the 2023 first-time FNP candidates have achieved a pass rate of 92.85% (ANCC [Advanced Nurses Credentialing Center] and AANP [American Association of Nurse Practitioners] accreditation exams combined.

The Molloy University Family Nurse Practitioner program prepares students to manage the healthcare of patients at any point in their lives, from birth to the end of life. During the program, students will develop vital competencies in assessment, diagnosis, health promotion, and disease management in various primary care environments.

They’ll also follow patients throughout the lifecycle and learn to use diagnostic and management skills in a wide variety of clinical settings such as pediatric primary care, adult and geriatric care, urgent care, and gynecological primary care. Our program is designed not only to give students the abilities they need to work as an FNP but also to support them throughout their academic journey. 

Students who complete the program will be eligible for licensing and national certification (ANCC and AANP) as an FNP, and they’ll be able to practice their new skills in various contexts.

    Designed for working nurses looking to further their careers, the post-baccalaureate to DNP pathway is a five-year part-time program in which you’ll receive an advanced practice certification and registration as a nurse practitioner, and obtain your DNP degree.
