    Semester Two: 10 credits + 200 practicum hours

    HI 5004: Electronic Health Records (EHR) & Interoperability (3)
    HI 5005: Healthcare Analytics and Decision Support (3)
    HI 5006: Practicum in Health Informatics 200 hours (4)

     

    Semester Three: 11 credits + capstone project + 200 practicum hours

    HI 5007: Healthcare Quality Improvement and Safety (3)
    HI 5008: Special Topics in Emerging Healthcare Technology (3)
    HI 5009: Capstone and Practicum in Health Informatics 200 hours (5)

  • Admissions Requirements

    • At least a BS Degree
    • GPA 3.0 (or probationary status for lower GPAs)
    • Completed application with your letter of interest in Health Informatics
    • Transcript and two letters of recommendation
    • Virtual interview with program director
    • Encouraged to acquire at least one month experience in a health related field
    • Access to two mobile devices (i.e. smart phone and computer)
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office package
