CONNECT at Molloy University
CONNECT is a student-centered program for neurodivergent students, with the goal of promoting academic skills, fostering social connections, encouraging self-advocacy, and navigating the transition from high school to college. Our mission is to facilitate a full college experience.
The year-long CONNECT program is available to accepted students attending at least one 3-credit course per semester at Molloy University.
The summer CONNECT session is available to rising high school juniors and seniors, as well as students beginning/already attending college, regardless of the school they attend.

CONNECT Programs

Fall/Spring CONNECT
The year-long CONNECT program is a student-centered initiative designed to support neurodivergent students as they transition from high school to college by developing academic skills, fostering social connections, and encouraging self-advocacy. Our goal is to help students have full and fulfilling college experiences and build skills for success that they will use for the rest of their lives. To that end, CONNECT offers:
- CONNECT Lab, Fridays 12:30 pm-2:30 pm while class is in session
- The CONNECT Lab focuses on helping students navigate the social aspects of college life while building essential skills for personal and academic success.
- Included in the cost of the CONNECT program
- Be the Boss of Your Brain, required for the first two years (four semesters)
- Be the Boss of Your Brain is a series of 1-credit courses designed from the ground up to teach students about executive function and how to apply strategies to help them succeed in their academic career.
- Not included in the cost of the CONNECT program
- Individual and small-group academic coaching
- Peer mentoring by fellow neurodivergent students who have completed at least one year of CONNECT
- Weekly scheduled study hours, as needed
- Academic, social, and family resources
- Sensory Room (open to all Molloy students)
- Structured and unstructured social hours
- Planned social events in conjunction with the student organization, the L.E.A.D. Club (Leadership, Education, and Awareness of Disabilities)
- Psycho-educational assessments to support accommodation requests may be available
Application Process & Eligibility Criteria:
- Apply to and be accepted to Molloy University through Admissions;
- Intend to attend at least one 3-credit course at Molloy each semester;
- Complete the CONNECT Application (new link coming soon);
- Have a teacher, guidance counselor, or advisor submit a letter of recommendation (new submission method coming soon);
- Attend a 45-minute interview (typically in-person) with CONNECT Team members. The CONNECT team will reach out to set one up after receiving your application.
The priority application deadline is May 15, 2027, for Fall 2027 admission. Applications will be accepted after this date only if space is still available.
Costs: $3,900 per year (broken into $1,950 per semester).

Summer CONNECT
The summer CONNECT program is designed for neurodivergent individuals who have earned or are on track to earn a high school diploma, regardless of the school they attend. Our fifth annual summer CONNECT program (2027) at Molloy University will run for two weeks (Mondays through Thursdays; Fridays and weekends off). A dorming option may be available. At the conclusion of the experience, attendees will have earned one (1) college credit and be further prepared for a successful campus experience.
Application Process & Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a rising high school junior, a rising high school senior, a high school graduate, or a college student;
- Complete the Summer CONNECT Application (new link coming soon);
- Have a teacher, guidance counselor, or advisor submit a letter of recommendation (new submission method coming soon);
- Attend a 45-minute interview (typically in-person) with CONNECT Team members. We will reach out to set one up after receiving your application.
Cost: The 2027 program cost is yet to be determined. Dorming cost is yet to be determined.

Students must still apply through the standard Admissions process to be accepted to Molloy University; acceptance to Molloy University is not required for the summer CONNECT program.
