Sociology Minor

The Sociology Minor enhances students’ knowledge of human behavior, social interactions, and of the social forces that shape our world, equipping them not only with a profound understanding of society but also with skills in research, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The Sociology Minor exposes students to the fundamentals of sociological theories and concepts, as well as to a variety of research methods, and trains them to apply a holistic perspective on pressing social issues such as inequality, globalization, and social change. This minor is suitable for students who want to pursue careers in human services and social work, education and teaching, nonprofit and advocacy, public policy and government, market research, data analysis, and human resources.
