Bioethics Minor

Bioethics, the study of ethical issues related to medicine and the biological sciences, is a field of growing importance and popularity.  Students pursuing careers in health care, human services, or the biological sciences benefit from the study of ethical issues that they may encounter in their future careers.  Additionally, all students can benefit from the study of ethical topics they will encounter in their future lives as individuals, global citizens, and ethical leaders. The bioethics minor equips students with the ability to critically analyze major ethical issues in bioethics related to medical ethics, the health of the broader community, the value-laden nature of medicine and science, and bias and discrimination in health care.
