Library Locations and Spaces


The main location of the James E. Tobin Library is on the second floor of Kellenberg Hall at the Rockville Centre campus. The Information Commons is on the second floor of the Public Square at the Rockville Centre Campus. In August 2022, the new Molloy Suffolk Center opened at 1100 Broadway, Amityville, NY with a dedicated library space in Room 121. All library locations include computers, printers, scanners, and WiFi.

During the fall & spring semesters, the JET Library is open seven days a week for a total of 84 hours. The Information Commons is staffed Monday through Thursday from 10:30am to 4:30pm. The Suffolk Center Extension Library is staffed Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

  • JET Library, Kellenberg Hall

    Our main service point is the JET Library, located on the second floor of Kellenberg Hall on the Rockville Centre campus. The library's entrance leads into the Main Reading Room, where patron services staff are located at the Circulation Desk with Reference Librarians also available to assist the Molloy Community.

  • Information Commons, Public Square

    The Information Commons is located on the second floor of the Public Square and supports students' academic needs. A social and academic gathering place, the Information Commons is the ideal environment for research, collaboration, and relaxation. It is a state-of-the-art library & I.T. shared space, complete with fifty computers available for student use. There are also four study rooms each containing a wall-mounted computer compatible with a wireless keyboard and mouse combo available for checkout from the staff desk. A library technician and a member of I.T. are on hand to assist you.

    Staffed Hours for the Spring and Fall Semesters:

    • I.T./Helpdesk Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9 am to 8 pm; Friday: 9am to 6 pm (subject to change) 
    • Library Technician Hours: Monday - Thursday: 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
    • At all other times - please visit the main library for research assistance. 

    Study Room Reservation Hours for the Spring and Fall Semesters:

    • Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
    • At all other times, the study rooms are first-come, first-served.

    Public Square Hours: (different than staffed hours) 

    •  7 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week

  • Suffolk Center Extension Library, Amityville

    Suffolk Center Extension Library is located in Room 121 at Molloy's Suffolk Center in Amityville, NY. The facility offers access to 11 computers for students who need to work on research papers and access the library's online databases and other electronic resources. There are also 6 tables for quiet group work and a white-board. A Reference Librarian is available to provide individualized research assistance and guidance for using different citation styles. 

    During the Spring and Fall semesters, the Reference Librarian is available Monday to Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. One or two days a week, a Reference Librarian will be available until 9 pm. Please check the Library Hours for more information.
