Institute of Gerontology
The Institute of Gerontology began in 1974 and was the forerunner of the Gerontology Program at Molloy. The Institute advances the knowledge and practice of the field of gerontology through collaborations with local institutions and agencies.
Innovative learning opportunities are developed through grant acquisition and have included consortium implementation of a three year intergenerational service learning project. Interdisciplinary research exploration will provide future opportunities to contribute to the field.
The Institute prioritizes the dissemination of empirical knowledge to enhance the lives of older adults and foster the growth of an environment that is supportive of families and communities through the development and sponsorship of presentations, workshops and symposiums.
