Celebrating Rising Leaders at 30 Under 30 Awards
Molloy University welcomed alumni and their families back to campus on October 19 for the annual 30 Under 30 Young Alumni Awards Reception. This evening is always inspiring, as it celebrates the accomplishments of 30 graduates who, early in their careers, are already making meaningful contributions across healthcare, education, business, government, the arts, media, and nonprofit service. The honorees were recognized not only for professional success, but also for their commitment to service, leadership, community involvement, and the values that define the Molloy mission.
In welcoming guests, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs C. Michelle Piskulich, PhD, reflected on the significance of the evening as not only a celebration of individual accomplishments, but also as evidence of the outcomes that continue to distinguish Molloy among colleges and universities nationwide. “We are proud of our alumni and award recipients, and how they live Molloy values.” Dr. Piskulich said. She pointed out that the national recognition recently earned by Molloy is driven by student and alumni outcomes and “truly reflect the dedication of our students, faculty and staff.”
The University's recent accolades consistently point to a shared theme: student success after graduation. Whether measured through career advancement, graduate school placement, leadership positions, service to others, or economic mobility, Molloy graduates continue to excel long after they leave campus. The 30 Under 30 honorees represent that success story in action.
This year's class reflected the remarkable breadth of opportunities available to Molloy graduates. Honorees included educators shaping the next generation of students, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals advancing patient care, journalists, researchers, artists, public servants, and emerging leaders in business and finance. Many have already earned advanced degrees and are in leadership positions. Several recipients have chosen careers dedicated to helping others, reflecting Molloy's longstanding commitment to service. Their work ranges from supporting mental health initiatives and advancing healthcare access to creating inclusive learning environments and strengthening local communities.
Others have built successful careers in highly competitive industries, including professional sports, entertainment, media, marketing, accounting, and law. Their achievements demonstrate not only individual talent and ambition but also the adaptability and leadership skills that Molloy graduates bring to their organizations and industries.
A common thread among the honorees was their continued connection to Molloy. Many remain actively engaged with the University as mentors, guest speakers, alumni volunteers, advisory board members, and supporters. Throughout their profiles, recipients frequently credited faculty mentorship, hands-on learning experiences, leadership opportunities, internships, study abroad programs, and the University's close-knit community as influential factors in their personal and professional development.
As President James P. Lentini, D.M.A. noted in his message to attendees, the honorees are helping to create "momentous changes in the world around them" through their work and contributions to society.
The evening served as a reminder that the true measure of a university's success is found in the achievements of its graduates. While rankings and accolades offer external validation, the accomplishments of these 30 young alumni tell a more meaningful story.
