Business Dean Part of International AI Team

Joseph Porter Jr., Ph.D., Dean speaking at AI Leadership Conference

Dr. Joseph Porter, Dean of the Molloy University School of Business, recently represented the University on the global stage at the 85th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dean Porter was part of a distinguished international team from the USA, Austria, Italy, Finland, and Singapore, he co-led a Professional Development Workshop (PDW) titled Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and Responsible Management Education (RME).

This timely and thought-provoking session brought together educators and researchers from across disciplines to explore the ethical, pedagogical, and technological implications of AI in management education. The PDW offered hands-on opportunities for participants to engage with real-world strategies and tools for teaching AI ethics, designing assessments with generative AI, and integrating responsible AI use into business curricula.

Dean Porter helped close the workshop by facilitating dialogue on future collaborations and on advancing responsible AI practices in management education. His participation underscores the university’s commitment to shaping global conversations at the intersection of technology, ethics, and learning innovation.
