Anatomage Table Embraced by Students

Molloy University students using the new Anatomage tableA ribbon cutting was held on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, for Molloy University’s new Anatomage table. The table will be used by students in the School of Arts and Sciences to enhance the undergraduate curriculum in biology.  It will be applied to studies in advanced human anatomy, physiology, pathology and more!

"We are very excited about infusing this advanced technology into our curriculum,” said Dr. Jodi Evans, Professor of Biology, Chairperson and Laboratory Director. “We are confident that it will contribute to our students' success in their future pathways."

The Anatomage table is a state-of-the-art platform that helps students gain a detailed understanding of the human body by offering digitized human cadavers for study along with other medical learning tools. Students can access various life-size real human bodies in digital formats that provide accurate 3D representations and simulations of real anatomy, physiology, and pathology. The table also allows students to practice procedures including angiograms, ultrasounds and catheterizations on real human bodies without the need for physical cadavers. Students and trainees can visualize and interact with anatomical structures in real-time during procedures.

“The virtual dissection table has already had a profound impact on student engagement with the anatomy and physiology curriculum,” said Dean Gina Florio, School of Arts and Sciences. “I am grateful to Dr. Evans and the BCES faculty for embracing new technology and modes of instruction, and to Provost Piskulich and President Lentini for supporting our programs and students.”

The in-demand tool helps to prepare undergraduate students for graduate programs in multiple healthMolloy University students using the new Anatomage table care and science fields, including (but not limited to) medical school, physician assistant programs, physical therapy programs, biomedical research, and clinical technology.

“Molloy remains focused on the success of our students,” said Dr. Michelle Piskulich, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “We work tirelessly to ensure they are provided with tools that enhance their classroom experience and provide them with state-of-the-art opportunities that support their academic growth.”
