Molloy University’s 2026 Golf Classic brought together more than 200 golfers, 10 pickleball players, and 300 dinner guests on Monday, July 20, for a day of camaraderie, celebration, and philanthropy. Held under perfect summer skies at The Rockaway Hunting Club in Lawrence, N.Y., and The Seawane Club in Hewlett, N.Y., the event raised more than $330,000, marking the highest total in Golf Classic history.
The record-breaking support will directly benefit Molloy students through scholarships, the Student Success Fund, and the University’s mission of academic excellence and opportunity. Together, these resources help make a Molloy education more accessible and provide students with the support they need to succeed.
The impact of this generosity was brought to life during the evening by JC Kiss, a recent Molloy graduate and former Lions baseball player. Kiss earned his MBA in Business Analytics after completing dual undergraduate degrees in Entertainment & Sports Management and Business Management, graduating summa cum laude while playing four years of collegiate baseball. As a scholarship recipient, Kiss shared how that financial support helped make his Molloy education possible, offering guests a firsthand look at the difference donor generosity can make in a student’s life.
This year’s Golf Classic honored Chris Vene of The Rock Golf Club & Baiting Hollow Golf Club and Cynthia Costanzo Metzger ’09 for their leadership, generosity, and dedication to the Molloy community. Vene, a leader in Long Island’s golf industry, has built his career around golf, mentorship, community, and service. Metzger, a proud Molloy alumna, dedicated more than two decades to advancing the University’s mission, including leading efforts in corporate partnerships, donor engagement, fundraising initiatives, and scholarship administration. Both honorees exemplify the spirit of service and generosity celebrated throughout the event.

Molloy also extends its gratitude to Event Chair Jeffrey Mulhall, Event Co-Chair Dorothy Hines, and the University’s Advancement team, whose dedication and hard work helped make the Golf Classic a record-breaking success.
