Student to Campus Guidelines - Spring 2022
Driven by the Omicron variant, COVID-19 cases are on the rise, with Long Island being the most affected region alongside New York City, in New York State. Given this challenge, we continue to focus on the safety of the Molloy community as we prepare for the Spring semester.
Snow/Study Day Use – classes to begin January 22nd:
As you know, the Spring 2022 semester begins January 18, 2022. In light of the rise in COVID-19 following the holiday season, we will be implementing the use of the “snow/study days” identified on the Academic Calendar in May, from January 18-21. Initial student class meetings will begin on January 22nd and continue through May 6, 2022. Other than a shift in the use of snow/study days, there are no changes in the Academic Calendar anticipated at this time.
Classes for the Spring Institutes through Professional Studies will not be affected and will begin as scheduled.
Move-in Day for residents will take place on January 22nd and 23rd. Residence Life will be in touch with residents regarding move-in times.
Booster Shots Required for Students and Employees:
All Molloy College students and employees must receive their booster shot by Monday, January 24, 2022. If you have an appointment scheduled for after January 24th, you need to submit a temporary waiver, which can be found in the Molloy Health Portal. Eligibility for booster shots is five months after the second dose of Pfizer, six months after the second dose of Moderna, and two months after the J&J vaccine. Those with approved medical or religious exemptions will continue to be exempt from this mandate.
