After a student uploads their AP scores via College Board how are they notified which APs will be accepted and what they will be counted towards? Students have to send official score reports to the Office of Admissions.   Credits will be visible on Lion's Den on the students transcript and program worksheet

If strong SAT scores were submitted with the application, is it still necessary to complete the Accuplacer test? Yes, all placement tests are required for incoming first year students for assessment purposes. 
If you look at the unofficial transcripts and see the credits earned ,  is that the classes and AP credits that were accepted by Molloy ? If the credits are TR then they are awarded, if they say PT, then we need the official transcripts to award the credit.  PT means Pending Credit. 
There are completed college credits my child took in HS that still say pending. She received a 100% in both class that are pending All official transcripts need to be submitted from the college where the credits were awarded in order to get the credit.  
Can the parents have a log-in /password to the tuition bill so we don't have to rely on our kid to be right next to us?  Molloy credential and profiles are provided to students only. 
Are the bills only mailed to us at during freshman year only? Bills are mailed to all students prior to the start of each semester 
How do we access or review our tuition invoice/bill on-line? Students are able to login to Lions Den through the Molloy Portal at https://portal.molloy.edu/ and then selecting the My Finances tab. 
 How do we apply for a parents plus loan? Specific questions regarding the process for applying for loans and financial aid should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid at 516-323-4200 or financialaid@molloy.edu
Is the tuition payed on a monthly payment plan or does it have to be paid for the entire semester? You will be able to view your fall 2021 charges on July 15, 2021. Log into your Lion's Den Account; choose the My Finances tab; click on Course and Fee Statement. Bills will be mailed on this date as well. We will not be mailing bills throughout the semester. Please monitor your bill online for any changes or updates.Payment is due August 2, 2021. You can enroll in a monthly payment plan through Cashnet on your Lions Den Account (choose the My Finances tab; click on "Go to Cashnet"). The payment plan is interest free; there is a $45 application fee. Feel free to contact the Office of the Bursar with any questions about your bill. What if we want to waive the medical insurance fee? How can we do that? My daughter is covered through my husband's insurance. To waive Student Health Insurance requirements students should follow the following steps: Login to Lions Den through the Molloy Portal at  https://portal.molloy.edu/. Go to the My Finances page. Scroll to the right side of the page. Click on the Student Medical Insurance Plan Waiver. This should be completed ASAP. Once approved this will be shared with the Office of the Bursar who will remove the insurance charges from the student's bill. 
Can we add the meal plan on mid year for a student living on campus?  No, a student must select a  meal plan prior to moving into their residence hall room. 
Can you use regular money or just lion bucks to purchase food? Yes, cash, credit, college meal plan and Lions Bucks are accepted everywhere to purchase food. 
 Do they have to have a meal plan if living on campus ? Yes, all residential students are required to have a meal plan. 
Is the Ruby plan the only meal plan that can be used at 50 Broadway or do other plans also work there? All meal plans are accepted at Molloy College Manhattan Center 50 Broadway Location 
 How do we add Lion's Bucks to our student ID? Funds can be added to the Lions Bucks account with a credit card at www.acceptinglocations.com/lionscard/  . Select "Add Value" at the top fo the page and enter the requiered information. To add value with cash stop by a Cash to Card Station located in the lobby of the The Public Square or in the Anselma Room. 
How do Lion Bucks work?  Lions Bucks are funds added to the students ID card that is not a meal plan. Lions Bucks is a form of payment that can be used on campus and also at our select locations around campus. 
Is the Ruby pan automatic for CAP21 students or do we have to specifically request it? CAP21 students need to request the Ruby Plan. Any meal plan changes should be submitted to the Office of Residence Life by emailing residencelife@molloy.edu
So if my child doesn't live on campus, can she still get a meal plan? There is no meal plan for commuters. Students can add Lions Bucks to their ID card to purchase food on campus. 
What happens if there is a leftover balance on the meal plan. Does it carry over the following year? Meal plan funds  carry over from Fall to Spring only. Funds need to be used by the end of the Spring Semester. 
Would you please talk more about the Ruby plan for CAP21 students? The Ruby Plan is a meal plan option is open only to CAP21 students due to their traveling back and both between the Rockville Centre Campus and the Manhattan Center. 
Are there a set number of meals that are included in each meal plan? Meal plans are a  declining balance, there is not a set number of meal swipes per semester. 
Is there a recommended laptop or a minimum laptop requirement? Any software needed? Specific questions about reccomended technology or software can be directed to Information  Technology at 516-323-3800 or helpdesk@molloy.edu
My student's canvas is not working - who can help her out? Questions regarding accessing Canvas should be directed to both the Student Solution Center and Information Technology depending upon where the issue is. What is the webpage for the Lions Den Account? Students can access Lions Den through the Molloy Portal at https://portal.molloy.edu/
Where on campus is the Spirit Store located? The Spirit Store is located on the first floor of Public Square 
 Can my son buy a 2nd car permit? Students are able to get a second parking permit if they anticipate bringing a different viechle to campus. Please contact the Office of Public Safety in the Maria Regina Annex for more information. Parking permits are free of charge.
If student didn't get Student ID Card during orientation, can they come to college to receive over the summer? Specific summer Student ID times will be shared by Public Safety this summer. Students are also welcomed to receive their ID on the first day of classes or they may call Public Safety at 516-323-3500 to check on a day of their convenience. By calling first, they'll be sure the office can accommodate the ID photo and printing at that day and time. 
 How do we add a major/minor to our academic plans? First Year students can contact the Office of Admissions at 516-323-4000 to add a minor prior to September.  Once the semester starts they can add it on Lion's Den.  The video shows how to do so  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpulyKD3nwc
 Is FST1000 the same as the SSC1000? FST1000 in a required one credit course for first year students in the fall.  SSC1000 is First Year Schedule Overview running 7/12-7/29 for students to access and learn about their fall schedule and connect with an advisor in the SSC for questions.
 My child does not have SSC1000 on her schedule SSC1000 is on all first year students summer schedule.  
My daughter has to take that SIP class for Math and was contacted via phone. To attend, does she need to sign up or do anything else? Where does she report? Is it 2 weeks? Your student can log onto Canvas https://molloy.instructure.com/login/ldap.  The course will appear on the Canvas dashboard.  SIP starts on 8/2.
There is no advisor assigned to my child. How do they get one? First year students will be assigned an academic advisor in their chosen major in the fall.
 What's the quickest way to fix schedule? Contact your SSC1000 instructor or the SSC at 516-323-4400
 Where can my daughter have access to her schedule? First Year students have access to their schedule as of July 12. For more information please contact the Student Solution Center at 516-323-4400.

Is there a scheduled time when students could come to campus and walk through their schedule/where their classes are located? If anyone wants a tour of campus or a tour guide to bring them to specific places they should reach out to Marc Soevyn, Assistant Director of Admissions at msoevyn@molloy.edu 
Are all students required to take the placement tests regardless of their SAT scores that were submitted for admissions?  Yes, these tests are required for all incoming freshman for assessment purposes
Is there tutoring or other support for English, Writing and Humanities courses? Molloy offers tutoring in a variety of subjects. To request a tutoring session students should login to TutorTrac. Are we automatically on the parent email distribution list (for general communication & payment reminders) or do we need to register for those emails? Parent emails are supplied by students at the time of application. My daughter is invited to honors program orientation and regular orientation the following day. She is a camp counselor and can't make both, which one do you suggest she attend? Both Orientations will be very helpful. The New Student Orientation covers many areas and resources at Molloy, so we recommend not missing the full day New Student Orientation whenever possible.

My son was not able to receive his student id when he came for orientation in June.  When can he come to take care of that? Specific summer Student ID times will be shared by Public Safety this summer. Will there be other opportunities for parents to visit? Yes! Students and parents may sign up for on-campus tours via Admissions. Is the CAP21 orientation on Sept 7th for parents too? Due to the structure and travel for the CAP21 Orientation, this day is currently offered for students only. 
How about car permit for cars for commuters? Parking Passes are available through the Office of Public Safety located in the Maria Regina Annex. When going to get your parking pass ensure that you come with your license plate number.

Will the Live Together Zoom session on the 20th discuss Health Services options and what to do if they get sick? If students are feeling unwell, they should first contact Health Services to make an appointment to come and meet with a member of their staff. The  Health Services staff will make appropriate referrals or recommendations on how to proceed. They can schedule an appointment by calling 516-323-3467 or by logging into the Molloy Health Portal at https://molloy.studenthealthportal.com 
My son has social anxiety.  He is capable of speaking for himself but takes a lot of effort.  the support at Molloy seems great but what about a student that needs to start off with one direct contact rather than several sources. Molloy College offers a variety of support services for students including the Student Personal Counseling Center, Center for Access and Disability and more. Molloy takes great pride in the opportunity to utilize a collaborative effort to support all students. Feel free to reach out to any of these offices or Student Affairs to assist with connecting to the appropriate resources. When do the freshmen have the chance to choose their first semester classes? Students are pre-registered for their first semester courses, based on their major and department recommendations. They have access to their schedules via Lion's Den beginning July 12th.  Instructions on how to access their schedule are posted in the SSC 1000 course.
What does a three hour class look and feel like.  How is that time used? A 3 hour General Education course is typically one day a week.  3 hours science courses, such as BIO and CHE are usually a lecture/lab combination.  Students are usually given a break during the 3 hour time period.  
My daughter is showing me the SSC1000 05 STUDIES SCHEDULE OVERVIEW,  how does she see the assignments?  The course is all modules.  The student should click the modules link at the top left of the page to view the list of modules and can scroll through them.

As a Musical Theatre major, my son will be commuting to the CAP21 campus in Manhattan twice a week. Does this limit the flexibility to schedule his academic classes? CAP 21 academic courses are scheduled around their time spent in Manhattan. Courses on the Molloy campus are selected accordingly.
My son is undecided but would like to maybe major in nursing or environmental science.  Should we make an appointment with someone to go over his options? The student should reach out to their SSC 1000 instructor to discuss this option.
My daughter is in the criminal justice dual degree program? Whom can we speak with regarding adding forensics as a minor  The student should reach out to their SSC 1000 instructor to discuss this option.
It seems like nuclear medicine is part of the School of Nursing.  Is it a small program? I don't hear much about it, hear more about nursing.  How big are classes generally? Nuclear Medicine is a program within the Barbara Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences.  Class sizes can vary depending on the program, labs, etc.  Molloy prides itself on smaller class sizes, with most classes under 40 students.
My son is listed as an Undecided Major and has been assigned liberal arts classes. Will these courses be requirements for any of the Majors offered at Molloy? Does he have time to select a Major and still be able to graduate on time? Undeclared students are registered for General Education courses, which are required for all students at Molloy regardless of their major.  Students have until the end of their sophomore year to declare a major.  Yes he has time to select a major and graduate on time
How is Molloy addressing systemic racism on campus? As an educational institution founded in the Dominican tradition, Molloy College is committed to supporting diversity on campus. Over the past year, Molloy has affirmed this commitment through the creation of a college wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) taskforce charged with identifying opportunities for discussion, collaboration, education and support campus wide. President Lentini is committed to ensuring that the task force recommendations are evaluated and implemented.  To accomplish this, he has begun a search for a new Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the first recommendation from the task force.  
With everything opening up and the CDC guidelines updating, what will be the mask mandates going forward? Molloy College continues to monitor both local, state and federal guidance. Those that are vaccinated may not wear masks indoors.Those that are unvaccinated must continue to wear a mask indoors. Any updates or additional information will be relayed to all members of the Molloy Community.

What's the last day to take the accuplacer exams? July 29.
Is there a difference between the placement test for nursing than accuplacer?  For nursing students, math college readiness is demonstrated by an ACCUPLACER score of at least 250 or SAT score of at least 540 or ACT score of at least 22. Please see the ACCUPLACER FAQ for more details. 
Is the placement exam for all majors? All majors are required to complete ACCUPLACER.

Are calculators allowed during the accuplacer? Calculators are not permitted during the ACCUPLACER unless you have an approved accommodation.
Will vaccine status of an athlete affect their participation? At this point student-athletes are following the policy of the College and not mandating vaccination but highly encouraging. Some of our opponents are mandating vaccination for their student-athletes so that may affect our participation. We are waiting for the requirements from these schools. It may mean that when competing against them we would need to test those not vaccinated before they are approved to participate.

The work study that shown on our financial package, do we apply for it or are we automatically enrolled? Students are not automatically enrolled in work study positions. Available work study positions are posted outside the FA office on the bulletin board. Students can come to the FA office if they have any questions regarding the Work Study program.   
Will the work study program be emailed to all students?  No, they are not emailed to students.  Students are able to view available work study positions posted outside of the FA office on the bulletin board.
If we are getting our second vaccination after the due date can we still upload the vaccination card later on? Yes, students may upload their vaccination card when they receive their dose, even if it is after the due date.    
Will they be allowed to live on campus if they have not been vaccinated. Yes, students will be allowed to live and attend classes on campus if they have not been vaccinated. Currently, proof of vaccination is not required for students who do not live on campus.   If not vaccinated, they will be required to wear a mask at all times indoors, and outdoors if a 6 foot distance from others cannot be maintained
Will all the medical requirements be emailed to students? Yes, medical requirements will be emailed and sent by regular mail to every student.  An initial email with medical requirements was emailed the 3rd week of June.
What is the due date for medical forms? The due date for medical forms is August 1, 2021
Do freshmen need to fill out med forms? Yes, first year incoming students are required to complete and submit medical forms in the Molloy Health Portal: https://molloy.studenthealthportal.com 
Can the medical forms be e-mailed to the Molloy nurse? Medical forms should not be emailed to Health Services, instead, all students should access their Molloy Health Portal to complete the fillable forms that apply and upload their medical records.  A link for the Molloy Health Portal can be found in the Lion's Den or by copying and pasting the web address: https://molloy.studenthealthportal.com 
If not dorming, are the medical forms still due on August 1st? Yes, the medical forms are due on August 1st for Residents and Commuters.  However, in the event that extra time is needed to complete the forms, we ask that the student notify us by email at studenthealthservices@molloy.edu or give us a call at 516-323-3467.  
Who should we contact if we're having trouble logging into lions den? We've logged in many times before and it has worked fine but we can't seem to sign in this week. When is the first day of classes? The first day of classes is Wednesday, September 8, 2021. 
Do students that commute need a parking pass to park on campus? Students do need a parking pass to park on campus. Parking Passes can be obtained through the Office of Public Safety located in the Maria Regina Annex.

Will there be any parent orientations for parents that work during the day? We have several Zoom sessions with various departments along with parent socials scheduled after the traditional work day. I work but signed up for an orientation next week. Which is best, in person or zoom for orientation? If possible we would love to see you in person! 
When I go for orientation is there a certain place I should park since I do not have a parking pass yet? When you come for New Student Orientation you are able to park in any parking lot closest to the Public Square building where New Student Orientation is taking place. You do not need a parking pass for Orientation. 
What time is the orientation next week? The Orientation program starts with check in at 9:30am and the welcome at 10:00am. 
Any place we can send parent's proof of vaccination ahead of visiting or do we need to have it with us? Parents will need to either bring the vaccination card or Excelsior pass to show proof of vaccination as part of check in at Parent Orientation to not have to wear a mask. 
When do we have to submit a request for dorming? Housing placements for those that have paid their housing deposits have been sent out. For additional requests, please contact residencelife@molloy.edu
What's the deadline for filing the application to live on campus?  Housing applications are viewed on a rolling basis and housing is first come, first served. Please submit your housing application ASAP.
When is student move in?  Move in days for the Fall 2021 semester are Sunday, September 5 and Monday, September 6 by appointment only!
Are August counseling workshops drop in or do students have to register prior? Students can rsvp by either calling the SPCC at 516-323-3484 or emailing us at personalcounseling@molloy.edu.  
When do college credit transcripts have to be submitted? There is not a hard deadline, but the sooner the better.  Send the official college transcript to the Office of Admission 1000 Hempstead Ave RVC, NY 11571
