Welcome to the Student Personal Counseling

The Student Personal Counseling Center (SPCC) is a confidential and free service that enhance wellness and offer students a more meaningful and successful college experience. Any currently enrolled Molly College student, whether full- time or part- time, residential or commuter, graduate or undergraduate is eligible to receive services. The SPCC is staffed with licensed counselors trained in mental health counseling and clinical psychology with special training in college mental health. The SPCC offers a variety of short- term counseling and psychoeducational services and mental health material.

Counselors work with students on a short- term basis and will help students find private, longer- term counseling if necessary. The SPCC is available to provide assistance to students experiencing mental health crises and is able to connect students with local emergency care.

  • Adjustment to a new environment
  • Homesickness
  • Time management
  • Relationship/ family issues
  • Difficulty making and keeping friends
  • Grief and loss
  • Sexual identity of orientation

  • Personal and/ or family crises
  • Emotional distress
  • Feeling of inadequacy or loneliness
  • Depression
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Eating issues
  • Addictions
  • Sexual harassment/ assault/ trauma

Students can arrange an appointment by calling the SPCC at 516.343.3484. The SPCC is located on the second floor of Kellenberg Room 207. During the fall and spring Semester it is open Monday- Thursday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. During the Summer break Monday -  Thursday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Walk- in Hours (during the academic year): Monday through Friday 12 p.m. - 1: p.m..

*While many of our services require prior appointments, we offer walk-in hours for students to walk- in meet the counselors, make an appointment, ask questions, and request information or a referral. Walk-in hours are NOT appointment times unless it's an emergency. Students who are in a crisis/emergency are usually given first priority and are seen throughout our open business hours. For immediate assistance on campus or after-hours emergencies please contact Public Safety 516.343- 3500. For off-campus emergencies please contact 9-1-1.
