The CVT Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology (JRCCVT) in both the Echocardiography and Vascular Sonography specialties.


The CVT program includes didactic, laboratory, and clinical components. This allows students to better understand the content, practice scanning in the lab, and then perform ultrasound examinations on actual patients in hospital settings under the supervision of sonographers.

As graduates of a CAAHEP-accredited CVT Program, Molloy students are eligible to immediately sit for Echocardiography and Vascular Technology examinations with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) without any additional documentation


Yes. CVT students have the option to enroll in the Health Service Leadership (HSL) Program within the Allied Health Sciences Department in order to obtain a BS Degree.
