Who is eligible for the camp?
High achieving and motivated high school juniors who expect to major in business in college.

How selective is the camp?
The June 2015 Boot Camp consisted of approximately 85 students selected from over 400 applicants.

What is the criteria for selection?
A Guidance Counselor recommendation is the base requirement. Although high GPA/SAT scores along with a pattern of achievement and involvement are important, particular emphasis is placed on the overall presence and enthusiasm that the candidate exhibits in the personal interview with the Dean.

Is there a tuition charge for the program?
No. The camp is entirely free of charge. The student's investment of quality time in the camp is the only requirement.

What exactly are the dates and daily times of the camp?
It is held Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 6 PM the last week in June each year.  The dates of the 2016 Business Boot Camp are June 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th.

Should the student bring food each day?
No. A light breakfast in addition to lunch and a light dinner will be provided each day at no charge.

Can the student's parents take part in any of the activities?
Yes. In fact, we encourage it. During the first morning there is a one-hour introduction to the camp at which the President of the College and all the Business Deans address both the students and any parents who are interested in attending. In addition, on the final evening there is a dinner and brief graduation/awards ceremony that parents are highly encouraged to attend.

When and where will the applicants be interviewed?
Associate Dean Stephen Bier and Andrea Barone will visit the participating high schools and interview each of the applicants recommended by their Guidance Counselor during the months of February, March, and early April. Those who may be unavailable on that date may schedule an on-campus interview at a more convenient time.

What is the application deadline?
Applications must be received by April 15th.  All applications that come in after this date will be put on a waiting list.

When will the students be informed as to whether or not they have been accepted?
Applicants will receive a letter in the mail informing them of their status during the last week of April and the first week of May.
