Social work education requires that students engage in field education in order to develop the necessary competencies to practice as a professional social worker. At Molloy College, students in their senior year complete 420 hours of supervised practice in organizations which serve diverse populations across Long Island. Types of host settings include;
- Medical facilities
- Non-profit agencies
Organizations providing field education contract with the College to offer our students learning experiences in generalist social work practice. This beginning practice level promotes engagement with individuals, groups, families and communities.
