New Media Program Director and Assistant Professor James Cohen, M.A. 516.323.3246 email@example.com Jamie Cohen is the program director and assistant professor of the Molloy College New Media Program. He was formerly the director of web and digital media at the Hofstra University School of Communication as well as an adjunct assistant professor. Formerly a television producer, Jamie brings his industry knowledge and experience to his teaching of emergent media, immersive storytelling, VR/AR, and digital journalism. In addition to teaching, Jamie founded the New Media Program and major at Molloy College. His research is based on web television, online tools, digital curation and digital literacy. Jamie is skilled in website development and management and has been published several times on media literacy, memes, digital curation and social media. He co-authored Producing New and Digital Media: Your Guide to Savvy Use of the Web with Tom Kenny.
Assistant Professor - English Department/Chair - Digital Humanities and New Media Department Matt Applegate, Ph.D. Director of the Writing Concentration 516.323.3242 firstname.lastname@example.org Matt Applegate is an Assistant Professor of English & Communications at Molloy College as well as the Chair of the Digital Humanities and New Media Department and the Director of the Writing Concentration. He teaches courses in English, Communications and New Media. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Comparative Literature at Binghamton University-SUNY and created the The Digital Manifesto Archive.
Communications Instructor and Television Studio and Media Facilities Manager Thomas Kenny, M.A. 516.323.3247 email@example.com Tom Kenny teaches courses in media and new media for the Communications Department including TV Studio Production, Editing and Post Production, Online Content Production and Social Media. He has co-authored both the new media minor and major at Molloy College, designing both production and studies courses. Since 2008, Tom has held the position as television studio and media facilities manager and is involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the television studio including equipment repairs, inventory, upgrades and assisting students with productions. Tom also manages and produces content for the Communication Department's website and social media pages.
