Announcing Music Therapy Conference at Molloy
Analytical Music Therapy - Past, Present, and Future - Understanding the Model as Music-Centered (7 CMTEs/LCATs)
Friday, June 16, 2017; 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Public Square, Larini Room, Second Floor, Molloy College, Rockville Centre campus.
This CMTE/LCAT conference will provide an overview of Analytical Music Therapy (AMT), a music-centered psychotherapy model. This talk will cover the historic development of AMT and include audio and video examples of Priestley's clinical work. This talk will also highlight the work of contemporary AMT practitioners who have fostered the development and differentiation of the model into different treatment contexts, including a diverse emphasis on its musical and psychoanalytic origins. The presentation format will combine lectures, musicing, and an experiential AMT group. (7 CMTEs/LCATs available)
