To the Artists of the Molloy/CAP21 Community:

The staff and faculty of the Molloy/CAP21 Department of Theatre Arts stand in solidarity with the Black community.

We are infuriated by the racism, injustice, and pain that Black people and people of color are not only currently enduring, but have been facing for generations. It was our failure to not share our outrage immediately, and therefore we will not remain silent as any member of our community suffers.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and Tony McDade, among countless others. We stand with all who are actively fighting to end racism and bigotry. We care deeply about the right to live a life free from racism and injustice. We support human decency, humanity, understanding and social justice to create a world that promotes diversity and inclusion.

We are committed to equality and love. Please know we support you and we look forward to working with you to make Molloy/CAP21 a better place for you to call your artistic home.

We care about each and every one of our students, alumni, and all members of the Molloy/CAP21 family.

Please remain safe.

Henry, Chris, James, Aimee, Joelle, and Courteney
