Ellen Tolle, RN, MPS

Ellen Tolle is a Registered Nurse with a Masters degree in Health Care Administration.  She has been the Director of "The Club", a social day program administered through New Horizon Counseling Center, since its inception in 1984. This program caters to people with various forms of dementia as well as to seniors with physical frailties. Not only does the program provide stimulating activities for its participants, The Club provides support groups and individual counseling for the caregivers.

Ellen has also been a consultant to  home health agencies and long term care facilities utilizing her expertise in dementia care. As an Adjunct Professor at Molloy College Ellen teaches a course called Alzheimer's Basics. She is also an instructor for the Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center teaching their 14 week Alzheimer's course. Ellen is a cofounder of the Alzheimer's Association Long Island Chapter.  She has authored many articles for Activities Directors' Quarterly for Alzheimer's & Other Dementia Patients and the Journal of Gerontological Nursing.

Llynn' Newman, M.S., C.N., NYS Lic.

Llynn' Newman, M.S., C.N., NYS Lic., A.H.G. Certified Nutritionist/Herbalist. Llynn' Newman is a dedicated private practitioner, Certified Nutritionist and Herbalist clinically and wholistically based.  A Professor of Nutrition with over 30 years experience in her field. Llynn' is a dedicated, sincere, caring, and sympathetic practitioner.  As a creative and dynamic professional, Prof. Newman thoroughly enjoys working with her aging patients in all aspects of their lives, as well as, engaging her students in reaching their full potential... "No stress allowed" is her motto.

Dr. Joan Beder

Dr. Joan Beder has been teaching social work practice for over 30 years.  Her areas of expertise and research include military social work, health care and clinical practice.  She maintains a private practice on Long Island specializing in trauma related care as well as health and bereavement issues.   She has presented at numerous national and international conferences on a variety of topics and is the author several books including volumes on hospital social work, military social work, Cuban health care and bereavement. Her most recent book,  Understanding and Caring for Service Members will be published in the spring, 2016.
