Art Therapy Minor

The knowledge offered within this 18 credit Art Therapy minor aligns with the needs of students who are pursuing a variety of majors such as Fine Arts, Visual Arts Education, Early Childhood and Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, Speech Pathology, Music Therapy, Social Work and Nursing. The courses offered (see listing an catalog descriptions) will provide these individuals with the opportunity to consolidate the theoretical skills of their particular major with the tactile-visual skills inherent to artistic expression in two and three-dimensional art works created in traditional and non-traditional media.

It is highly recommended that students take additional courses (outside the listing below) in Psychology and Sociology. See these departments for advisement.
