Molloy Business Trading Room
We Bring Wall Street to You
Molloy's state-of-the-art Wall Street Trading Room is designed to provide the foundation for multi-faceted learning opportunities. The room replicates the trading floors in investment banks, market exchanges and hedge funds on Wall Street. It serves as a business lab and classroom space for our Business students.
The room is equipped with several Bloomberg terminals and real-time stock quotes to provide students with the resources to learn real-world investment skills, so they can construct an investment portfolio with real money. In addition, the lab is equipped with various business software applications and up-to-date technology to enhance teaching and presenting information.
Bloomberg Market Concepts Certificate
Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is a 10-hour, self-paced e-learning course that provides an interactive introduction to the financial markets. BMC consists of 5 modules-Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income, Equities, and Getting Started on the Terminal-woven together from Bloomberg data, news, analytics, and television. Using the BMC digital courseware as a course companion frees up class time for more advanced topics.
NOTE: Bloomberg offers the option of accessing BMC remotely, rather than using the on-campus Bloomberg terminal. However, the remote option costs $149 and you would be responsible for that cost. You can register at https://portal.bloombergforeducation.com/sign_up . Be sure to use your lions.molloy.edu email.
