Dr. Maureen L. Mackenzie-Ruppel's 20 years, plus, corporate management career, and experience, partners extremely well with her 19 years of academic experience as a Full Professor of Business, Management, and Leadership and Academic Dean. Maureen served as the President of the Northeast Business & Economics Association. She has served as a member of its Board of Directors for fifteen years +. She was recently elevated to a level of honor as an Executive Director of the Board.
Her role as an Academic Dean allowed her to use her knowledge, skills, and her disposition toward social good and to create meaningful and transformative student experiences. Prior to her career in academia, Dr. Mackenzie-Ruppel held various leadership positions, including the role of Regional Marketing Manager for Allstate Insurance Company's New York Region. Her industry expertise lies in the areas of insurance residual markets, operations, training, TQM, marketing, leadership, management, and ethics. Before coming to Molloy College she served on the faculty of Dowling College for more than 10 years within the Department of Leadership and Management. She earned her Ph.D. at Long Island University and her areas of study were Knowledge and Information Management and Management Behavior. Dr. Mackenzie-Ruppel is a winner of the A.R. Zipf Fellowship in Information Management.
Her real love is the classroom. Dr. Mackenzie-Ruppel designed and developed the Capstone Consulting experience for the M.B.A. and B.S. programs at Molloy College. This consulting capstone experience caused a meaningful shift in how students see their role as business professionals and their responsibility to society. Maureen also led a full transition, both technically and culturally, toward online education that was meaningful to student learning. Maureen's publications cover areas such as Not-for-profit leadership, Ethics, Pedagogy, Management, Human Resource Management, Trust in the Workplace, Business Graduate Education, Undergraduate General Education, Entrepreneurship, Managers′ Information-seeking Behaviors, and Change Management.

She was honored twice as a member of the "50 Most Influential Women in Business," by the Long Island Business News. She has demonstrated the ability to lead process improvement initiatives; particular expertise is revealed in training and developing people and organizations to reach full potential.
