Develop unique skills to solve complex clinical problems, improve quality outcomes and increase cost efficiency!

The Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist program provides registered nurses who have clinical expertise with opportunities to develop advanced practice nursing knowledge and unique organizational skills. The program prepares graduates with the competencies to positively impact three spheres of health care: direct patient care, nursing workforce, and organizational systems.

The CNS program is a distance learning program with 12 courses that can be completed in seven consecutive semesters. Three core courses introduce CNS students to theories of transformational leadership, reflective advocacy, and evidence-based research strategies. Three advanced practice core courses provide students with in-depth knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and physical assessment. Four Clinical Nurse Specialist courses provide role development and 500 clinical hours required for national certification. All practicum courses must be completed in-person within New York State. Finally, two elective courses may be used by students to support their clinical specialty or role-based knowledge

Molloy is currently not accepting applications for the CNS program.
