This is for the APRN who want to add Pediatric Nurse Practitioner focus to their certifications, you can obtain a Post Masters Certificate as a PNP.

Pediatric Nurse Practitioners provide pediatric primary care in a variety of health care settings, including, but not limited to, private practice, ambulatory and school-based clinics, home, hospital, and subspecialty clinics. The coursework and clinical practicums in the PNP-PC specialty provide knowledge development in advanced pediatric health assessment, advanced pathophysiology and pharmacology clinical management of the pediatric patient in primary and chronic care pediatric sociocultural and ethical issues, and professional role development for the PNP.

This comprehensive curriculum uses traditional classroom settings, simulated experiences, and clinical training, where you will develop pediatric primary care knowledge and clinical reasoning skills. In addition, graduation from the program prepares you to take the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care certification exams offered by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

    • NUR 5770 PNP: Diagnostic Reasoning (90 clinical hours) – 3 credits
