Field Education

Social work education requires that students engage in field education in order to develop the necessary competencies to practice as a professional social worker. At Molloy University, students in their senior year complete 400 hours of supervised practice in organizations which serve diverse populations across Long Island.

Molloy Univeristy has developed community partnerships with various organizations across Long Island including but not limited to:

  • Northwell Health System
  • Family and Children's Association
  • Catholic Health System
  • Local School Districts
  • Diocese Of Rockville Centre
  • Department of Social Services

Organizations providing field education contract with the University to offer our students learning experiences in generalist social work practice. This beginning practice level promotes engagement with individuals, groups, families and communities.
