Music Education-Pre K-12

Cupola atop a building on the Molloy University campus

The music education program at Molloy University provides a dynamic, engaging pathway toward a career in teaching music.

Our program embraces a progressive and humanistic approach that recognizes and develops students' strengths across a variety of musical traditions. Our students receive a rigorous foundation in formal classical training on their primary instrument or voice across several semesters, but they also nurture and develop a plurality of musical competencies during their years at Molloy. 21st century music education thrives on a diverse and innovative teaching force. Musicianship, educatorship, technology, and entrepreneurship comprise a core skill set for music educators to create opportunities to connect with all students, both inside and outside of preK-12 public school settings. Pursue Your Passion for Teaching.

Molloy University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
