Accounting MBA

Led by experienced faculty with Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licenses, our Accounting MBA program is designed to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue accounting careers with Big 4 firms and companies in any industry.
Linking theory with practice, faculty discuss contemporary issues and challenge students to develop their critical-thinking and decision-making skills. Importantly, students are given opportunities to master written and verbal communication through both individual and group projects.

Career Opportunities

Professionals in the accounting industry have a significant advantage with an Accounting MBA from Molloy. We prepare our students to excel in positions such as the following:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Treasurer

Program Courses

Students in our 30-credit Accounting MBA program take foundational courses in management, quantitative analysis, and business ethics, as well as accounting courses such as accounting theory, computer auditing, and advanced taxation.
The Accounting MBA program culminates with our capstone course, during which students develop recommendations to pressing problems faced by a not-for-profit client. Through this project, students are able to showcase their talents and abilities while simultaneously contributing to the community in a meaningful way.

Students may take the CPA Exam prior to earning 150 college credits. Such candidates, however, will not become licensed until they pass the examination, earn 150 college credits and acquire one year of qualifying accounting experience by being supervised by a CPA.
