Musical Theatre

A one-of-a-kind BFA program
Students enrolled in the program will move together through their courses both on Molloy's Rockville Centre campus, located 40 minutes outside of New York City, and at Molloy/CAP21's newly-renovated, state-of-the-art Manhattan Center located at 50 Broadway.
Prepare for a career in musical theatre, theatre, and on-camera work
Molloy/CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. You will study at both the Molloy University Rockville Center Campus and at the University's state-of-the-art studios in downtown Manhattan. An integrated training program is taught by an expert faculty of seasoned professionals, many of whom are currently working in the industry.
You will engage in a comprehensive, rigorous and challenging course of study that involves academic coursework, intensive conservatory training, and a variety of performance opportunities, all designed to support students in the development and refinement of their musical theatre performance skills.
The academic component of this training includes general education and elective courses. The conservatory courses focus on the practical application of musical theatre performance techniques, including singing, voice and speech, movement, acting, dance, script analysis, music theory and private voice.
Our comprehensive training also provides a solid foundation in audition technique, as well as training in the business aspects of the professional theatre to assist you in launching a professional career and achieving life-long success as a theatre artist.
Transfer students are welcome into this program. Learn more about transferring to Molloy, including transfer guidelines, articulation agreements and funding opportunities. Please note that all Musical Theatre transfers will begin as first- year students and will need to complete the full 4-year BFA training sequence, regardless of previous college experience.
