Research Methods in Criminal Justice, Ethics and Morality in Criminal Justice

The Molloy University Master of Science degree is a 33-credit program that can be done full time in one year and part time in a year and a half.  You have the option to complete the Master’s degree fully online, face to face or a combination of both depending on your needs. Taught by our expert faculty who are both scholars and practitioners, our top ranked program is based on the prestigious Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences criteria in which courses fit into the following areas: administration of justice, corrections, criminological theory, law adjudication, law enforcement and research and analytical methods. There is a 15-credit core requirement and 18 electives. The core classes include: Modern American Justice, Constitutional Law and Legal Issues, Research Methods in Criminal Justice, Ethics and Morality in Criminal Justice and Master's Thesis Seminar.  Numerous elective classes are chosen with the advisor and tailored to the individual needs of the student.

M.S. Program Options

The M.S. program is offered in several formats that allow our students the choice to pursue the degree in the way that best fits their personal lifestyle.

  • Face to Face

    This option is good for those students who wish to complete the degree either full-time or part-time at our Rockville Centre campus.

  • Online

    This is a good option for working professionals to be able to complete their degree fully online to accommodate their schedule. Courses are offered both synchronous and asynchronous.

  • Hybrid

    This option offers students the flexibility to design a program that takes advantage of both in person and online learning.

Graduate Assistantships
