About LS/SAG

The intent of the Library Services Student Advisory Group (LS/SAG) is to assemble a diverse group of students and seek opinions and feedback on the various services offered by the JET Library. Several one hour meetings are scheduled across the course of the academic year that will focus on a specific theme or service, such as search strategies, navigating electronic resources, facilities, and more.

The purpose of this advisory group is also to establish a dialog between students and the librarians who are in charge of various services, as well as create a student-to-student communication channel between a consistent core group of student volunteers and their peers.

Meeting dates for the 2025-2026 academic year are as follows:

library student advisory group 2025-2026 calendar of events

Check out the 2025-2026 schedule under Upcoming Events for more detail.

Consider becoming a 'regular' and make a difference!

It’s our hope the advisory group will improve our understanding of what services and spaces students believe are necessary to achieve academic success. We wamt to hear what you want, not what we think you want. While monthly meetings are open to everyone, we are actively seeking student volunteers for members of the core group!

Core Group Responsibilities:

  • Attend the monthly meetings
  • Have a basic understanding of the theme, topic or service being discussed
  • Share and gather feedback from their representative groups
  • Discuss initiatives and outcomes with fellow students
  • Promote upcoming events
