Molloy University has both Macintosh and Windows PCs located in the computer labs and Information Commons on campus. In addition to internet access, numerous software packages such as Microsoft Office, Inspiration, Kidspiration, Smart Notebook, Geometer's Sketchpad, Visual Studio and SPSS are installed. The Mac computers include applications such as Adobe CS, Corel Painter and Safari.

To enhance the educational experience, students are required to have a Molloy College email account and are automatically assigned one upon registering. Questions pertaining to e-mail accounts can be addressed by contacting Technology Support Services at: 516.323.4800.

Locations


Molloy University computer labs are located in the following buildings:

  • Wilbur Arts Center

    Three computer labs (W205-A, W208 & W213) are located on the second floor of the Wilbur Arts Center. Each lab is equipped with an instructor's computer. Both W205-A and W208 are open to students when not being used for classes. The labs must be reserved through the Office of the Registrar by calling 516-323-4300.

  • Public Square

    The Information Commons are located on the second floor of the Public Square. Lab personnel are always on hand during the posted hours to provide a supportive, positive environment for students to learn, practice and improve their computers skills. For typing term papers and for computer assignments, the Information Commons offers open access to students 12 months a year and over 100 hours a week. Laser printers, color printers and scanners are available. Students may also borrow wireless laptops from the reference desk.
