The James E. Tobin Library is available to faculty members, students, administrators and staff of Molloy College.
A valid Molloy ID card is required every time to check out any media materials. Patrons without a valid Molloy ID card will not be permitted to utilize in-library use only materials or check out circulating materials
Please be advised that there is an overnight activation period before being able to use the new ID card in the Library. Databases and E-Reserves, however, may be accessed immediately on or off-campus via a valid Canvas login. ID cards may be obtained at the Public Safety, ext 3500.
The James E. Tobin Library is open to anyone associated with an institution that participates in the Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC) Research Loan Program (RLP). However, there is no reserve or media (DVD) privileges.
Printers are available on the first and second floors of the library for patron use. There is no charge to print. As part of the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College kindly think before printing.
Computers and printers located in the Reference Room of the library are strictly for research purposes only. These computers are equipped with Microsoft Office, any work done on these computers cannot be saved, but can be sent to your email account or saved on a flash drive or cloud based system like Google Drive or Dropbox.
There are additional computers and printers located in the Library Instruction Rooms located on the first and second floors of the Library. These computers are also equipped with Microsoft Office and may be used as long as there isn't a Library Class Session scheduled.
The library is not responsible for any printed materials that are not retrieved from printers in a timely manner. If there is a paper jam in any of the printers, or if additional copy paper is needed, please contact library personnel at the Patron Service points.
Color printing has a 10 page per day limit. It is available in the Public Square building on the second floor in the Information Commons by asking the staff on duty.
Two scanners are available, one in the main room and one in the Education Resource Center on the main floor of the library. Scanners are also available in the Information Commons. If assistance is required, please see staff on duty.
Directly outside the Library, patrons can drop books into the Book Drop box which is accessible while Kellenberg Hall is open to students.
Wireless internet is available in all areas of the library and on campus.
