Facilities & Service Points: The main service point is the James E. Tobin Library, located on the second floor of Kellenberg Hall on the Rockville Centre campus. The Library is open seven days a week for a total of 84 hours, with extended hours during finals. Additionally, there is a specialized circulating collection housed in the Siena Women's Center on the lower level of Kellenberg Hall. Regarding auxiliary locations, during a typical semester a librarian is on site four days a week in the Information Commons, located on the second floor of the Public Square Building and two evenings per week in the Suffolk Extension Center.
Equipment: The current floor plan in the Tobin Library offers twelve research computers located in the main reading room, an additional twenty-three computers in the first floor library instruction room and fifteen computers in the second floor library instruction room. These rooms remain open to students when instructional classes are not in session. Two reference computers are available in the Suffolk Extension Center library.
Rochelle Sager Media Center: In 2012, the library completely renovated its media viewing area. Located on the first floor of the Tobin Library, the space contains a popular media display, 8 touch screen computers for DVD viewing in booths and 4 VHS compatible players with reservable space to view media in groups of 2-5. There are also reserve books, interlibrary loan, periodicals, and a microfiche/microfilm machine.
Information Commons: In 2011 the Rockville Centre Campus opened an Information Commons on the second floor of its Public Square building. The facility provides forty computers, three study rooms with one designated for tutoring and a conference room.
All facilities include wireless access, free and unlimited printing and additional table space to accommodate laptop computers.
