2017 UCD Nursing University College, Dublin, Ireland Nursing Summer Program
This program Research for Nursing Practice, is a four week experience consisting of a 2 week class followed by a 2 week mentorship with an experienced researcher. An essential element of the UCD Nursing Summer School is the opportunity for you to experience Irish society and culture through a wide variety of excursions and field trips in Dublin and across the island of Ireland.
UCD Eligibility: The minimum GPA is 3.00. Molloy Eligibility: Molloy Nursing student, sophomore year or beyond, that has completed their course in statistics and has finished one semester of clinical. Eligibility is based on a 3.2 grade point average to take a summer class. Additionally a student must not have failed any nursing class or be in jeopardy of being dismissed from the program based on earned grades. Grades below C+ will not be eligible to transfer to Molloy.
2017 Leόn Summer Study Abroad Program in Spain: Barcelona, Leόn and Madrid
The Summer Study Abroad Program in León, Spain, offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture, art and history while honing their communication skills in the language. The program includes two weekend excursions to Barcelona and Madrid. Students will also spend four weeks in León, where they take courses at the University of León. Students attend classes in the mornings, while afternoons and weekends are devoted to sightseeing, field trips, making new friends, and living the Spanish way of life. The participants of this program will have the support and guidance of expert Molloy College faculty who will travel with them.
Costs includes: airfare to Leόn, overnight night train between Barcelona and Leόn, land transportation between Leόn and Madrid, accommodations with a family in León with a private room, three meals daily and laundry service, hotels in Madrid and Barcelona, International Health Insurance, field trips in and around Barcelona, Leόn and Madrid, textbooks and use of the University of León's facilities.
Accommodations: During the stay in León, students will further enhance their language and cultural immersion experience by living with a Spanish family. These families have been selected from a large pool by the University of León, and offer the students a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.
2017 Siena Summer Study abroad program University of Siena
The Summer Study Abroad Program in Siena is a program that offers the students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Italian culture, art and history. The program is dedicated to the acquisition of language skills, Italian civilization and culture. Students will attend classes in the morning and the afternoon. Weekends will be dedicated to sightseeing, field trips, embracing Italian lifestyle and cuisine.
Costs include round-trip airfare to Italy, accommodations in Siena, Laundry Service, International health Insurance, and field trips in and around Siena.
