March 13 - Clinical Mental Health Counseling Information Session, Rockville Centre, NY
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Department will be holding its annual Graduate Information Session on Wednesday, March 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. at our new location: 30 Hempstead Rockville Centre, NY, Suite 248. For those interested in learning about our program, meeting and speaking with current graduate students, having your specific questions answered, and learning about the application and admissions process, please come join us! Our program is student friendly with small classes, and is offered part- time in the evenings. Our 60-credit-program can be completed in three years and fulfills the educational requirements for licensure as a Mental Health Counselor established by the New York State Education Department, Office of the Professions.

The American Counseling Association is a membership organization representing licensed professional counselors, counseling students, and other counseling professionals in the United States.
April 5 - 6 NYMHCA Counselor Educator Meeting, Albany, NY
NYMHCA is the advocacy organization representing the clinical counselors of New York State. NYMHCA is the state branch of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. There will a Social/Networking Event in celebration of NYMHCA's 40th Anniversary, as well as presentations by NYMHCA Lobbyist Heather Evans, Hinman-Straub Advisors on: Diagnosis issue, Civil service titles, & LMHCs employed by school districts. Dr. Laura B. Kestemberg will be representing Molloy College's CMHC Program at this conference and will be bringing back pertinent information to share with our faculty, staff, and students.
May 20 - NYMHCA Lobby Day, Albany, NY
NYMHCA's first Lobby Day will provide us with an opportunity for mental health counselors and NYMHCA to become better known among legislators and other governmental officials. This will also be an opportunity for YOU to visit with your legislators to tell them about your experiences as a mental health counselor and provide them with information provided by our lobbyist. The deadline to register is March 31st.
