Admission Criteria

Acceptance into the program is based on the following broad set of requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Master's degree in education or related field

  • 3.5 GPA in graduate studies

  • Current teaching/administrative license or other comparable state licensure in a related field

  • A minimum of three years of post-Master's employment

  • A written essay to assess organized thinking and writing skills

  • Submission of GRE results

  • Evidence of past scholarship such as previous publications, presentations and workshops

  • An onsite interview with the Doctoral Admissions Committee

  • Recommendations from three professionals

  • Advanced computer skills necessary for blended learning
