Admission Criteria

Acceptance into the program is based on the following broad set of requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Master's degree in education or related field
  • 3.5 GPA in graduate studies
  • Current teaching/administrative license or other comparable professional licensure in a related field (if applicable)
  • A minimum of three years of post-Master's employment
  • Personal goal statement and responses to short questions
  • Submission of GRE results
  • Sample of scholarly writing such as Master's thesis, previous publications, presentations and workshops
  • An interview with the Doctoral Admissions Committee
  • Recommendations from three professionals
  • Advanced computer skills necessary for blended or online learning
