Spend Your Summer Abroad with Molloy University!

Molloy University’s Summer Study Abroad programs offer students unforgettable cultural and academic experiences in three iconic European cities. In León, Spain, students sharpen their Spanish language skills while exploring the region’s rich art, history, and daily life—all with the support of Molloy faculty. In Siena, Italy, students dive into Italian language and culture through immersive classes and weekend excursions that celebrate the country’s vibrant traditions and cuisine. In Florence, Italy students study at the renowned Lorenzo de Medici Institute, surrounded by the legacy of Renaissance greats like Dante and Da Vinci. Each program blends academic enrichment with cultural discovery, making for a truly transformative summer.

 

Summer Abroad Programs

  • León, Spain

    Students will  spend four weeks in León, where they take courses at the University of León.  Students attend classes in the mornings, while afternoons and weekends are devoted to sightseeing, field trips, making new friends, and living the Spanish way of life. The participants of this program will have the support and guidance of expert Molloy University faculty who will travel with them.

    Costs includes: 

    • airfare to Leόn, 
    • overnight night train between Barcelona and Leόn,
    •  land transportation between Leόn and Madrid,
    •  accommodations with a family in León with a private room,
    •  three meals daily and 
    • laundry service, 
    • hotels in Madrid and Barcelona, 
    • International Health Insurance,
    •  field trips in and around Barcelona, Leόn and Madrid,
    •  textbooks 
    • use of the University of León's facilities.

    Accommodations: During the stay in León, students will further enhance their language and cultural immersion experience by living with a Spanish family. These families have been selected from a large pool by the University of León, and offer the students a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

  • Siena, Italy

    The Summer Study Abroad Program in Siena is a program that offers the students the opportunity to immerse themselves in Italian culture, art and history. The program is dedicated to the acquisition of language skills, Italian civilization and culture. Students will attend classes in the morning and the afternoon. Weekends will be dedicated to sightseeing, field trips, embracing Italian lifestyle and cuisine.

     Costs include

    •  round-trip airfare to Italy, 
    • accommodations in Siena,
    •  laundry service, 
    • international health insurance, and
    •  field trips.

  • Florence, Italy

    The summer abroad program in Florence at the Lorenzo de Medici Institute offers students the opportunity to study at the birthplace of the Italian renaissance. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the humanities and study in the place where thinkers like Dante Alighieri, Leonardo DaVinci, and Machiavelli rose to prevalence. As a registered UNESCO world heritage site, Florence offers many beautiful views, architectural wonders and culturally rich experiences. 

    Costs include
