This comprehensive review course is designed to prepare nurse practitioner students and recent graduates for national certification examinations and to reinforce essential knowledge for advanced practice. Participants will review physical assessment findings, patient management strategies, common disease processes, signs and symptoms, pharmacologic therapies, and evidence-based treatment guidelines through interactive case studies.
Additional topics include interpretation of normal and abnormal laboratory values, appropriate clinical interventions, scope of practice, legal and ethical considerations, and test-taking strategies. This course provides a focused review of the clinical concepts and certification content needed to promote success on the certification examination and confidence in nurse practitioner practice.
