The undergraduate Teacher Assistant courses will be offered throughout the year in a number of different formats, as follows:

Asynchronous Online Format
The online course run for about 5-6 weeks and are not taught in "real time", meaning students do not have to attend at a given time. You can log on at any time to take the course. However, there will be assignments that will be due at specific times. The courses will use our online learning platform, Canvas, to conduct the courses. Click here for more information on Canvas. 

In-Person Format
The courses will meet in-person on the Rockville Centre campus. Your room assignment and travel directions will be sent shortly before the start of classes.

Hybrid Format
The courses will be taught part online asynchronously through Canvas and part either in-person on campus or online in real time using Zoom.

The summer schedule of classes is generally available on this webpage in February, the fall schedule is usually available in April and the spring schedule is generally available in September.

Please note: New students for the summer- when completing the online application/registration form please select "2022 Summer Institute 1" for classes starting up until June 30 and "2022 Summer Institute 2" for classes starting after June 30  as the term in the drop down.
