Molloy University is a nationally recognized private, Long Island college. Molloy provides a value-centered, multidimensional liberal arts education with more than 50 quality academic undergraduate and graduate degree programs grounded in the Catholic faith, ideals of truth and respect for the dignity and worth of every individual.

Mindfulness based stress reduction and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy are scientifically proven modalities of therapy to heal stress based disorders such as anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, chronic pain, high blood pressure and hormonal imbalances. Additional benefits of mindfulness based therapies are reported quality of life, increased workplace productivity, and improved communication between individuals.

Dr. Romie Mushtaq has developed her own Mindful Living Therapy Program called "Mindset Matters" (Trademark pending). Romila "Dr. Romie" Mushtaq, M.D., ABIHM, is a traditionally trained neurologist with additional board certification in integrative medicine.  Dr. Romie brings together Western medicine and Eastern wisdom to help individuals and audiences learn to heal from stress-induced illnesses such as insomnia, anxiety, and career-burnout.  Her program, "Mindset Matters", is based in neuroscience, positive psychology, and mindfulness.

This program includes a five step process to help clients heal from stress based disorders such
as depression, anxiety, insomnia and career burnout. Personal healing is a critical cornerstone in improving relationships with spouses, family members, or colleagues.  Dr. Romie's 5 Step Mindful Living Program: Mindset Matters will cover the role of self-compassion, contemplation, forgiveness, gratitude, meditation and public service in healing.

Who should attend?
