catherinemuscenti.jpgCatherine Muscente, Vice President for Mission and Ministry, has served in her current role at Molloy since 2018.  She began her tenure at the University in 1997 when she was hired within Academic Affairs as the Office Manager for the Social Work Department..  From 2002 – 2017, she was part of the Office of Advancement serving as Director of Alumni Relations, Director of Development, and Assistant Vice President for Mission Integration and Development over those 15 years. 

Cathy’s passion and support for the founding charism of Molloy and the legacy left to the institution by the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, who founded the college, is evident in all her interactions with colleagues and students.  She primarily assists the Cabinet, faculty and staff in their actualization and integration of the College’s Catholic Dominican core identity and mission.   Cathy oversees Campus Ministries, the Siena Center for Social Justice, the Irish Studies Institute, and the University’s Art Gallery and permanent collection

  • DHEC Representative on the Charism Cabinet, Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU)

Catherine holds an MBA from Molloy College, is a graduate of the Energeia Partnership, Class of 2011, and holds a certificate in Empowerment Skills for Leaders, University of Connecticut and a Paralegal certificate from Adelphi University. 

She currently serves in a volunteer capacity for several not-for-profit enterprises:

  • Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation, Board Member
  • Girls Inc. Long Island, Advisory Board Member
  • NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade Scholarship Committee, Chairperson
