In honor of Founders' Week, we are pleased to share video messages from the Sisters in Amityville. In 1955, after many years of planning and determination by the Sisters of St. Dominic, Amityville, Molloy Catholic College for Women was opened. Remembering our founding sisters and most especially the first President, Mother Anselma Ruth, takes place at this time of year because April 21st was her feast day - the Feast of St. Anselm. The Anselma Room (dining hall) is named for her. Knowing the importance of scholarship to the Sisters, we hold the College's Annual Honors Convocation during this week and dedicate that as Founder's Day.
We will share these videos with you every Monday until Commencement week. Enjoy!
