I am happy to report that the search committee interviewed a group of candidates last week interested in the president's position at Molloy College and has selected those candidates who will move to the second round of interviews. Interviews will continue through October and November and we will keep you updated as things progress.

I am happy to report that the search committee met this past Thursday to discuss the candidates who applied for the president's position. We are fortunate to have a robust set of candidates to consider and compared each candidate's background to the position profile we compiled in May. We then selected a group of candidates for a first round of interviews in mid-September. Interviews will continue through October and November and we will keep you updated as things progress.

As Chair of the Presidential Search Committee, I would like to provide an update on the progress of the Presidential search.

We are happy to report that the Presidential search is well underway and on track. The search committee has been quite busy since the end of the spring semester. Notable activities since the spring include the following:

1)  Completion of the position profile: The search committee completed the prospectus and profile for the position. This document is available to all of you and will be sent to all prospective candidates. You can view the position description on the presidential search website.

2)  Recruitment Efforts: Our search consultants, Steve Leo and Vicki Henderson from the national search firm of Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates, have been proactively reaching out to sources and prospects and developing a slate of strong candidates. The search committee has begun to review applications and will continue to do so through early fall. We remain eager to hear from individuals within the College community concerning thoughts and ideas that can benefit this Presidential search. We invite you to nominate individuals whom you believe the committee should consider for President of Molloy College through MolloyPresident@StorbeckSearch.com

3)  Placement of an advertisement in several key publications such as the following: The Chronicle of Higher Education, Diverse Issues in Higher Education, Hispanic Outlook, Women in Higher Education and Inside Higher Education.

We are pleased with the interest in this opportunity to date, and we continue to work hard on your behalf to ensure that the very best candidates are being approached and considered by the committee.

The Presidential Search Website will keep you informed of the progress of the search committee's work. Thank you for your support of this important undertaking by the College, for your nominations, and for your thoughtful ideas and contributions. With all of your help, we fully expect to identify and select the best individual possible to lead Molloy College.
