HRSA Advanced Education Nursing Program
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA) Advanced Education Nursing Program awarded $970,575 to the Division of Nursing for the 2010 launch of the First Generation Ph.D. Program for Nursing Leadership in Education and Policy, Molloy's first doctoral program. The federal grant funds have been used toward program start-up expenses for the first five years - faculty and student recruitment, computer workstations, personnel and related OTPS costs.
The Division of Nursing has been the recipient of several other grants including the State Aid for High Needs Nursing annual award from NYS Education Department focused on recruitment and retention of nursing students. Due to the size of the Molloy nursing program, our annual allocation is about 10% of the state-wide distribution; Molloy received $963,805 since 2008.
