Poor Art Student... 8!
January 5 - January 31
The Molloy College Art Gallery is proud to present Poor Art Student... 8!, an exhibition displaying the work of current art majors and curated by Cristina Artusa, M.S., Art Gallery Assistant. The exhibition will be on view from January 5 - January 31.
The closing reception is scheduled for Tuesday January 31, 2012, from 3 p.m. until 5 p,m, in the Public Square Art Gallery located in the new Public Square building at Molloy College. The public is invited to attend.

The Art Gallery at Molloy College Presents: "Molloy College Art Alumni," March 30 - April 26
The Molloy College Public Square Art Gallery presents "Molloy College Art Alumni Exhibition." Alumni who have graduated from the art program at Molloy College will exhibit their work which includes graduates from 1972 through 2011.
The exhibition will include paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and other media and will run from March 30 through April 26. There will be an opening reception for alumni on Friday March 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The gallery is located on the second floor of the new Public Square, Room 280 and is opened Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information or images contact the gallery at email@example.com or 516.323.3195.
"Scenic Routes," June to July
The Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Art Gallery at Molloy College will exhibit the work of ten artists in an exhibition titled, "Scenic Routes," which is the second exhibition created for our "Artists Choose Artists" program. This exhibition is curated by Evan Reehl Ryer and will include the work of Melissa Armstrong, JennBrehm, Katie Cercone, Lauren Comito, Brent Owens, Zach Seeger, Elisa Garcia de la Huerta and Dustin Sparks.
The exhibition is part of a project that has its roots in the mentoring of artists where five established artists mentor five less established artists and the work that they all create will be exhibited. This exhibition is generously funded by the New York State Council on the Arts. The exhibition will also travel to another venue. There will be an opening reception on Saturday June 9 from 12 noon - 3 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
Gallery hours in June are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
July Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monumental Drawings of Michael Ryan
The Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Gallery at Molloy College will exhibit the monumental drawings of Michael Ryan from September 13 through October 26.
Ryan's large, detailed graphite drawings are "influenced by the concept of memory" according to the artist. He uses early 20th century photography wrought with personal memories and infuses them with his own vision.
Ryan is a Brooklyn-based artist who grew up and went to school in Chicago, Illinois. He has exhibited at Giacobetti Paul Gallery in New York and New York University's Washington Square Gallery.
There will be an opening reception on Thursday, September 13 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The Frank and Gertrude Kaiser Gallery is located in the Public Square at Molloy College. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. -6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Gallery will be closed on Monday October 8 for observance of Columbus Day.
